The author has discussed a very resourceful topic in times of the pandemic. We, as a nation, cannot keep our children out of schools forever. Hence a plan needs to be implemented where children can safely go to school without getting mass infected. However, it is not recommended for parents or children to go physically to the shops for book supplies. Hence there is a need for an online book shop such as

As a boater here in Long Beach I can say we are anxiously waiting for the moorings to open up.
Going ashore would mean maintaining currant safety guidelines, Masks, social distancing.
Mooring reservations would help control the amount of boaters coming over.
Maybe you could add a small temporary fee per mooring to go to a business support fund????
A temporary dingy dock fee??
Governor Como admitted today that over 60% of the New Yorkers who tested positive for COVID19 had been social distancing, it obviously doesn't work very well!
In the meantime, many of us are getting seriously screwed over, lasting damage, lifelong affects here.
You're putting some of us in an impossible position and forcing us to FIGHT FOR OUR RIGHTS. PLEASE DON'T FORCE US TO GO HERE!
Thank you for all you are doing to guide a safe re-opening of Avalon. You may have addressed my questions in your discussions already.
After reviewing the LACO Health Department Roadmap to Recovery I would like to ask:
1. Will people on the trails and the golf course in Avalon be required to wear masks? It is my understanding it is a MUST, not a choice in LA County and I fully support that protocol. On that note, I would like to ask if the City of Avalon would consider an ordinance that all people (except small children under the age of 2, as directed by LACO ) in public places, walkways, streets, sidewalks, businesses etc. MUST wear masks and continue to social distance. It would provide protection for all the residents and visitors that may soon be coming.
2. Would you please clarify NON-ESSENTIAL travel as it relates to the slow transition into Phase 2? It is my understanding that avoiding non-essential travel is still part of the state and county re-opening program.
3. Regarding enforcement of all the guidelines and orders: LA County Health department provided a phone number to report violations, especially with regard to businesses, however that may not be effective here. What is the city's plan for enforcing these new guidelines so that we can continue to stay safe and ensure future visitors that Avalon is a safe town to visit?
Thank you for your time and attention.

Can Denise read the letter signed by a number of concerned Avalonians regarding opening?
